This case report details the use of a biliary stone extraction basket in treating an 11-year-old patient with a thrombus in the right atrium. This description highlights potential advantages of this device over traditional endovascular treatment that uses mechanical aspiration devices (1). This is a case report of only 1 patient, and all examinations, procedures, and medications were covered by health insurance. Furthermore, the guidelines of patient privacy protection were followed when writing this case report. Accordingly, the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe exempted this study from ethics approval. |
